Supporting the African healthcare system through simple, impactful technology and user centred design.
Aviro Health, a health-tech startup based in Africa approached us to re-imagine their brand strategy, visual identity and online presence.
Over the course of several design sprints (2 week time-blocks) we facilitated various strategic workshops and used a human-centred design approach to uncover the business’ pain-points as well as market opportunities to best differentiate and position them as leaders in their specific niche.
As is often the case, healthcare and med-tech brands can be quite (excuse the pun) clinical. The only elements we retained whilst redeveloping the Aviro brand were variations of their primary purple and turquoise colours. The new logo places emphasis on empathy, linkage to care and humanised patient experiences. For the brand assets we introduced a bright and playful palette of tertiary colours and Afrocentric design elements combined with legible and rounded typefaces.
